Wind Earn Late 3-2 Win
|
In a tight tilt between the Waimea Wind and the Albuquerque Cacti, Bob Harrigan was the deciding factor. The Waimea right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Mark Weston snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Caleb Brickhouse suffered the loss. Daniel Castro recorded the save for Waimea, his 10th of the season.
Chris Ratliff had a direct impact on the outcome. Ratliff contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Waimea up, 3-2.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Ratliff.
With the win, the Wind improved to 25-25.
