The Fairfield Flash defeated the Thunder Bay Black Bears, 8-4, at Edgbaston. Fairfield was led by 18-year old left fielder Hunter Wells, who went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Sam Del Grosso came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. By defeating Thunder Bay, the first-place Flash improved to 33-10.

Wells had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a double. The Flash went on to win.

Wells called the triumph "a good team win."
