Though he had a terrific game, John Wolochow could not prevent his team, the Kansas City Tornadoes, from absorbing a loss. El Paso won the game, 4-3. Wolochow slugged 2 home runs. Picking up the save was 27-year old left-handed pitcher Morgan Henn. El Paso has a mark of 12-10 after the win.
In the bottom of the sixth, El Paso left fielder Danny Sullivan gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Nutball hit his 4th home run of the year. Kansas City pitcher Ryan Pangle surrendered it. With that, the Mavericks jumped in front, 4-2.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Kansas City skipper Lewis Cannon.
