Warriors 8-7 Victors Over Bighorn
Despite a great performance by Bighorn right fielder Matt Saxton, the Walnut Creek Warriors defeated the Bison by the score of 8-7 at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Saxton was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Picking up the save was 28-year old left-handed pitcher Ray Clemens. The Warriors, now 14-7, have been on a roll in the early going.

Bobby Tackman had a big 2-run double for the Warriors in the top of the third inning. With Walnut Creek trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Jeremy Turner, who finished 2nd in the TML in strikeouts with 219 last year, and swatted a double to right. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 3-2.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Tackman told the Walnut Creek Observer. "But we take nothing for granted."
