Marshals Prevail, 5-3, Over Albuquerque

With center fielder Joe Tucci leading the charge, the San Jose Marshals defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 5-3, at The Corral. Tucci, who leads the TAAA in stolen bases with 21, was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. San Jose reliever Chris Elwell was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Ken Stein. Earning his 15th save for San Jose was Reagan Juneau.
Tucci had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a double. The Marshals went on to win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Tucci.
Albuquerque's current losing streak is now 4 games.
