Walters Slugs Freeze to 7-3 Win
The Minneapolis Freeze beat the Thunder Bay Black Bears, 7-3, at The Ice Box. The Freeze got a fine performance from first baseman Adam Walters, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Minneapolis reliever Melvin Arambula picked up the win to move to 2-1. Rafael Padilla suffered the loss. The Freeze' win now puts them at 25-21.

Walters had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Rafael Padilla, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Freeze a 7-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Walters.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Walters.
