Higgins Hits Two Dingers, Moose Win, 5-2
|
Led by Kyle Higgins, the Anchorage Moose defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 5-2. Higgins, a native of Costa Mesa, California, went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Moose. Jared Hutson recorded the save, his 5th. The Moose go to 13-28 with the win.
Higgins had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-2 splitter from Joey Anderson, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Moose a 5-1 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Higgins.
"Kyle was ready to go. Big day for him," said Anchorage manager .
