The Albany Firebirds topped the Anchorage Moose, 8-7, in 11 innings. Albany shortstop Larry Capobianco, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. John Sommerville earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Firebirds raised their record to 19-20.

The Firebirds got a clutch hit from designated hitter Gabe Bourdeau. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Firebirds.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Bourdeau said.
