Falcons Solve Sphinx, 4-2
|
Forest Acres pitcher Victor Davila did his part in helping his team beat the Cairo Sphinx, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The first-place Falcons have a one-game lead in their division.
Forest Acres took a 4-2 lead on Howard Yankovich's 5th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Yankovich hit in the top of the eighth, left Cairo pitcher Bill Montgomery visibly frustrated.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Yankovich.
