Bumblebees Fall to .500 After Loss to Raiders
The Reno Raiders defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 5-3, in TMLAAA action at The Hole, with Reno pitcher Timmo van Bladel named player of the game. The winning pitcher was van Bladel, now 3-5. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Kai-ge Ching closed the door for Reno, picking up his 7th save of the year.

Reno used the clutch hitting of Randy Klusman to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Raiders ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Klusman told the Reno Daily News.

The Raiders raised their record to 17-28.
