Billings Dispatched, 4-2, by Anchorage
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Anchorage Moose and Billings Mustangs.
Starting pitcher Steve Carlson had a solid game. He was a big reason the Anchorage Moose throttled the Billings Mustangs, 4-2. Carlson yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-2. Miguel Negrete nailed down his 8th save.
Ignacio Montejano, who is tied for 2nd in the RAAA in home runs with 13, chipped in a run-scoring single for Anchorage in the top of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Carlson told a Anchorage News reporter that the win made him feel "exuberant."
Anchorage is now 14-25, Billings 14-25.
