Franklin Lucero, who is tied for 8th in the TAAA in innings pitched with 57.1, was terrific for the Amarillo Armadillos in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Peoria Caterpillars. His performance earned Lucero rave reviews. Amarillo is now 22-23, Peoria 28-15.

Kevin Douglas had a direct impact on the outcome. Douglas contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Amarillo up, 3-1.

"All in all, I thought Franklin pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Amarillo manager Tyler Bulman.
