The Pasadena Bumblebees topped the Detroit Death Stars, 5-3, in TMLAAA action at The Hole. The player of the game was Pasadena pitcher Jeff Bushman. Bushman went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-1. Pasadena is 26-18 and Detroit, with the loss, 21-23.
The Bumblebees grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Tony Leon hit a 3-run home run off Bernard Young, putting Pasadena in front, 5-1. For Leon, it was his 5th home run of the season.
"The more wins we pile up," said Leon, "the more I like our chances."
