Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Peoria Caterpillars and Madison Muskies.

The Peoria Caterpillars beat the Madison Muskies, 7-3. Peoria pitcher and Nuevitas, Cuba, native Alex Jimenez led the way. The Caterpillars go to 13-22, putting them 6th in the TML AAA Cito Gaston League.

Robby Race had a big 2-run double for the Caterpillars in the bottom of the third inning. With Peoria leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Josh Caroleo, who leads the TAAA in wins with 5, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 4-1.

Jimenez said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
