Kodiaks Fall to .500 After Loss to Mustangs
|
The Billings Mustangs went home winners at Cobb Field, thanks in large part to starter Mike Sapienza. Sapienza silenced the Calgary Kodiaks, enabling Billings to grab the 4-1 win. The Mustangs now have a record of 22-22.
Frank Pena, who is tied for 7th in the TAAA in bases on balls with 27, contributed to the Billings win with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
Pena called the win "a collective effort."
