Memphis Topples Baton Rouge, 3-1
|
Nelson Amador was nothing short of phenomenal for the Memphis Privateers. The 29-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Baton Rouge Outlaws, 3-1. Amador got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. He allowed no runs. The loss makes Baton Rouge 21-14.
The Privateers got a big at-bat from left fielder Manuel Uribe. For the game, Uribe went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Memphis a 2-1 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's about putting up zeros," said Amador.
