Narrow Win Takes Eagle Rock Streak to 9
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners and the Dallas Texans, Andrew Shackleton, who is tied for 6th in the RCL in innings pitched with 34.0, proved to be the difference. The Eagle Rock right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Ridge Runners win. The winner was Jack Anthony in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Jim Miller took the loss. The Texans drop to 7-13, as their fitful start to the 2064 campaign continues.
Eagle Rock took a 3-2 lead on Shane Achilles's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Achilles hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Jim Miller visibly frustrated.
"We had a good game plan," Shackleton said, "and we were able to execute it."
