Cats Stay Hot With 3-1 Win
|
Pitcher James Sirico was sensational for the Fort Worth Cats in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Albuquerque Cacti. Sirico received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Yonetoshi Morikawa recorded the save for Fort Worth, his 2nd of the season. The Cats have now won 7 straight.
Fort Worth used the timely hitting of Barry Huffman to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cats on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Sirico.
