Argonauts Get Past Billings for 2-1 Win
|
Astoria Argonauts starter Guillermo Castorena turned in a top-notch performance against the Billings Mustangs at Golden Fleece Park. The result was a win for the Argonauts, 2-1. David Rios picked up the save for Astoria, his 4th of the year. Today's win puts Astoria at 20-16, while Billings falls to 20-18.
Mike Strouse's at-bat in the bottom of the eighth was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 1-1. The Astoria right fielder hit a run-scoring double off Dan Fairchild to put the Argonauts up.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Billings manager Jorge Magana.
