Top of the Hill was host to some intense drama.

The Bowling Green Racers defeated the Amarillo Armadillos, 7-6, in 11 innings. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Nate Adkins, who was 2-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Racers. The win went to Jason Rhodes in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Mike Lake took the loss.

The Racers got a clutch hit from catcher Harry Handrahan. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Racers.

"Big win," said Handrahan.

Amarillo falls to 10-22.
