Despite a fine performance by third baseman Travis Arant, the Astoria Argonauts lost to the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-4. Arant went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Josh Wucherer went 6.2 innings for Minneapolis to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 10 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record improves to 1-2. Ken Aubin earned the save for Minneapolis, his 2nd.

Tim Hoggatt helped out the Minneapolis cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1 with a triple.

Minneapolis manager Ben Jeffcoat was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The loss drops the Argonauts to 13-17.
