The Reno Raiders defeated the Joplin Fireballs, 7-1, in TML AAA action at The Firepit. Reno pitcher Scott Bertram had a standout performance. Bertram got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 4 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. The triumph puts Reno at 18-16 for the season.

Reno used the clutch hitting of Josh Henricks to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Raiders ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Bertram after the game.
