Blanchard Helps Mustangs Defeat Firebirds, 8-6
Billings beat Albany in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Billings Mustangs topped the Albany Firebirds, 8-6, with center fielder Eric Blanchard playing a big role. Blanchard was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Mustangs in the win. Jeremy Hillman, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Mustangs grabbed the lead when Blanchard hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Bill McLean made it 8-6, Billings.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Billings skipper .

The Mustangs, with only their 8th win in 28 games, could be the worst team in the league.
