Black Bears Turn Back Fairfield, 6-4
|
The Thunder Bay Black Bears beat the Fairfield Flash, 6-4, at Edgbaston. Felipe Navarro went 3-4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The former first round draft pick was a menace to Fairfield all day. Fairfield falls to 14-14.
Thunder Bay grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Navarro hit a 2-run triple off Dan Cortell. His 1st triple of the season put the Black Bears out in front, 4-2.
"We're trying to go out there and win games," Navarro told the Thunder Bay Bulletin, "and we played pretty well tonight."
