The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Reno Raiders, 14-6. Doing his part was center fielder Chris Ballard, who was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 3. Calgary has a mark of 15-16 after the win.

With Calgary leading 8-5 in the top of the sixth, Ballard hit a cutter from Mike Bergren for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 11-5.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Ballard told the Calgary Bulletin.
