Perez Lifts Kodiaks to 7-6 Win
In a tight contest at Foothills Stadium, the Calgary Kodiaks edged the Minneapolis Freeze by the score of 7-6. Calgary right fielder Angel Perez, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Clay Clermont was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. With the win, Calgary elevates its record to 14-12.

With Calgary leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Perez hit a fastball from Josh Youmans for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 4-0.

"If we keep winning the close games," Perez said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
