Swallowtails Topple Racers, 5-3
|
Not everyone stuck through the 52-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The State College Swallowtails locked up a win at Stars Field, knocking off the Bowling Green Racers, 5-3. On the mound for State College was right-hander Hua-ding Shuai. He played a major role in the triumph. With the win, State College is 12-19.
State College took a 4-3 lead on Adan Munoz's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Munoz hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bowling Green pitcher Billy Cardwell visibly frustrated.
Munoz told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
