The Astoria Argonauts got a stellar performance from pitcher Danny Casas, who handcuffed the Indian Wells offense en route to a 1-0 win at Golden Fleece Park. Astoria, now 19-10, has played well in the early going.

Astoria took a 1-0 lead on Darren Michels's 33rd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Michels hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Indian Wells pitcher Mike True shaking his head.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Casas said.
