Sphinx Fall to .500 After Loss to Redbirds
|
Candiac starter Tom Hass pitched effectively against the Cairo Sphinx at Municipal Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Getting the save was Josh Reddish, his 8th. With the loss, Cairo falls to 15-15.
Candiac took a 5-3 lead on David Barber's 39th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Barber hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cairo pitcher Ryan Wise shaking his head.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hass.
