On Road, Buffalo Drops Kansas City, 3-1
|
Starting pitcher Jon Wambach gave the Buffalo Bison a rock-solid effort. The Duluth, Minnesota native helped his team defeat the Kansas City Tornadoes, 3-1, at Debris Field. Gary Halliwell earned the save for Buffalo. The loss puts Kansas City at 0-2.
The Bison got a big at-bat from center fielder Danny Pellot. For the game, Pellot was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead.
"The other side played a good game," said Kansas City manager Todd Belcher. "You tip your cap to them."
