Cats Take Down Black Bears, 13-12
The Thunder Bay Black Bears could not turn a fine performance from third baseman Chris Pagan into a win. Instead, the Fort Worth Cats prevailed, 13-12. Pagan went 5-7 with a triple, 4 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Mark Walsh picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Carlton Braunbeck was tagged with the loss. With the win, Fort Worth boosts its record to 11-19.

The Cats got a clutch hit from first baseman Bryant Wight. In the bottom of the 14th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cats.

"It's a long season," said Wight. "We'll keep working to improve."
