Kirkpatrick goes 3-for-5 to Power Flash Offense
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Scott Kirkpatrick, the Fairfield Flash defeated the Baton Rouge Outlaws, 15-8. Kirkpatrick went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Flash. The win was credited to 24-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Reichel in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Rodriguez took the loss. The win gives Fairfield a record of 19-7.

With Fairfield leading 12-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Kirkpatrick came up to bat against Baton Rouge pitcher Mario Gonzales. Kirkpatrick hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Flash on top, 15-1.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Kirkpatrick.
