Getting an impressive start from Arend Tarnovius, Tallahassee beat Albuquerque by the score of 4-2. Tarnovius, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 3 walks. No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by Tallahassee might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 19-9.
Tallahassee used a clutch at-bat from Gustavo Cabrera to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Captains ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
