Minneapolis got a terrific game from designated hitter Chris Saipe. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Bowling Green, 6-4. Saipe was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bowling Green, now 6-22, is off to a slow start.

Bowling Green grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Pete Madden delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Racers.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Madden told the Bowling Green Daily.
