A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Billings Mustangs and Pasadena Bumblebees.

The Billings Mustangs defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 6-3, at The Hole. Billings left fielder Tommy Dollak had a superb performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Billings pitcher Bobby Avila got the win. He's now 2-2. John Pickens was tagged with the loss.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Gene Crowell? The Billings second baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Mustangs on top, 1-0. For the game, Crowell had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Crowell said in reaction to the win.

The victory makes Billings 8-15.
