Bedlecom Helps Redbirds Run Win Streak to 5
The Calgary Hitmen and Candiac Redbirds cranked it up at Mckinley Park.

The Candiac Redbirds beat the Calgary Hitmen, 15-5, at Mckinley Park. Candiac designated hitter Curt Bedlecom earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Hitmen fall to 11-15 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2044 season.

Martin Bond, who is tied for 2nd in the TAAA with a .529 on-base percentage, aided the Candiac cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder went 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.
