Minneapolis turned a good effort from starter Josh Youmans into a win over the Joplin Fireballs at The Firepit. The final score was 3-0. Victor Hernandez earned the save for Minneapolis. The victory makes Minneapolis 14-11.

Minneapolis used a clutch at-bat from Tim Hoggatt to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Freeze ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"All my pitches were working," said Youmans. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
