Kodiaks Win at Home, 4-2

The Calgary Kodiaks racked up a win at Foothills Stadium, bumping off the Indianapolis Ambition, 4-2. Jim Jackson, who started for Calgary, pitched effectively for his team. Clay Clermont was credited with the save for Calgary, his 2nd of the season. With the loss, Indianapolis is 11-11.
Calgary first baseman Jim Ferguson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Kodiaks ahead, 2-0.
Calgary manager Stanley Harvey was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
