Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Tomas Robles, the Detroit Death Stars suffered a 7-6 loss to the Albuquerque Cacti. Robles went 2-2 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. Albuquerque improves to 14-11 as they look to defend their championship.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Rafael Gómez came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Detroit pitcher Mike Muller, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Albuquerque on top, 7-6.
