Mavericks Continue Skid, Thanks to Galdamez, Gremlins
Leo Galdamez knocked in 3 runs to help Houghton beat El Paso, 6-3. Galdamez produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Chris Wethington, who finished 3rd in the RCL in saves with 37 last year, nailed down the save. With the loss, El Paso is 11-6.

Mark Launay had a big 2-run double for the Gremlins in the bottom of the first inning. With Houghton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Edwin Serna and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gremlins ahead, 3-0.

"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said El Paso manager Lorenzo Castillo.
