Beaty Helps Bloomington Bombard San Francisco
|
The Bloomington Blazers firmly defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 14-4, at Golden Gate Park. The Bloomington offense was lit. Josh Beaty, for one, had a solid game. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Blazers. The loss puts San Francisco at 1-1.
With Bloomington leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Beaty hit a fastball from Ryan White for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Blazers ahead, 4-0.
"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Bloomington manager Leo Dethwright. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
