Cowboys Get One-Run Win at Cozumel
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Calgary Cowboys picked up a win at Bar Habor Stadium, knocking off the Cozumel Beaches, 5-4. Starting pitcher Jose del Real was a big reason why. The winner was del Real. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Pedro Leon.

Calgary took a 5-3 lead on Pat Deering's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Deering hit in the top of the ninth, left Cozumel pitcher Pete Findling visibly frustrated.

"Jose giving us the start that he did was huge," said Calgary manager Thomas Hughes.

With their winning streak at 5, the Cowboys have raced to a strong start this season.
