The Bowling Green Racers defeated the Cozumel Beaches, 3-2, in RCL AAA action at Bar Habor Stadium. Bowling Green pitcher Ken McCutcheon had a standout performance. The Racers, with only their 4th win in 22 games, could be the worst team in the league.

Bowling Green used the hitting of Benito Madrigal to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Racers on top, 3-1. For the game, Madrigal had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Madrigal said his team "played with a purpose."
