Peoria Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Bell
The Pasadena Bumblebees weathered a fine game by Peoria second baseman Micah Bell to upend the Caterpillars, 9-5, at The Hole. Bell was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Ian Bolin got credit for the save for Pasadena. It was his 1st of the year. Pasadena, now 11-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Robby Helt had a big 3-run home run for the Bumblebees in the bottom of the third inning. With Pasadena trailing 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Grisham and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Bumblebees on top, 5-3.
