Fort Worth took on Bowling Green in front of a lively crowd.

The Fort Worth Cats picked up a win at LaGrave Field, topping the Bowling Green Racers, 9-4. On the mound for Fort Worth was right-hander Larry Viola. He played a principal role in the triumph. Viola picked up the win for Fort Worth, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2.

Roberto Miranda had a big 3-run home run for the Cats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Fort Worth leading 4-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a knuckleball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Alex Blanco and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Cats on top, 7-2.

"Larry gave us everything he had," said Fort Worth manager Dudha Goli.

The Cats, now 5-14, have not found much traction so far in 2064.
