The rain came, as predicted, but the Albany Firebirds and Peoria Caterpillars were able to complete their ballgame.

A 5-RBI performance from designated hitter Ashton Dillon, who leads the TAAA in RBI with 26, led the Albany Firebirds to a win over the Peoria Caterpillars, 8-3. Pete Forbes, the winner, goes to 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 5 innings.

Albany grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Dillon hit a 3-run home run off Jason Englert. His 11th home run of the season put the Firebirds out in front, 6-3.

Dillon called the win "a collective effort."
