The Fort Worth Cats needed 11 innings to beat the State College Swallowtails, 7-4, at Stars Field. The win was due in part to second baseman Ryan Wasilewski, who was 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Kyle Taylor notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 4 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Early on, the Cats, at 11-3, have piled up the wins.

Eric Johnson delivered a big hit for Fort Worth. The shortstop drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Cats ahead, 7-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Wasilewski told the Fort Worth Gazette.
