Kodiaks Need Extras to Top Raiders
The Kodiaks had to overcome a fine effort from Reno pitcher Ryan Thurm to grab a narrow 4-3 win at House of Pain. Thurm went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Calgary, now 5-9, is off to a slow start.

The Kodiaks got a big boost from first baseman Ricardo Rosas who had a run-scoring walk in the top of the tenth inning off Raiders hurler Gerry LaForest. It was his 6th walk of the season and put Calgary on top, 4-3.

"This was a good win," said Rosas.
