The Fort Worth Cats got a sterling performance from pitcher Larry Viola, but the State College Swallowtails still prevailed, 6-5. Viola threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Steve Marasco earned the save for State College, his 2nd of the year. To call the performance of the 2064 Cats subpar is an understatement.

Lewis Yafeu took Fort Worth hurler Justin Everett deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Swallowtails on top, 6-5. In all, Yafeu had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Yafeu told the State College Times.
