Albuquerque Dealt 7-0 Defeat
The Calgary Hitmen stymied the Albuquerque Cacti, 7-0, at Mckinley Park. Eddie Wooldridge had a good day at the plate. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Calgary. The winning pitcher was Dave Rivera. His record now stands at 3-0. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits for the Hitmen. Juan Flores earned the save for Calgary, his 1st.

Victor Lagunas had a big 2-run double for the Hitmen in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Calgary leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Moore and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hitmen ahead, 3-0.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Hitmen manager Brandon Ashley. "This one was nice to get."

The victory makes Calgary 6-11.
