The Calgary Kodiaks picked up a win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, knocking off the Albuquerque Cacti, 6-3. On the mound for Calgary was right-hander Donovan Zuidema. He played a key role in the triumph. Zuidema got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Matt Maxfield picked up his 4th save of the season.

In the top of the sixth, Calgary third baseman Floyd Barrett had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Barrett stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-2, Calgary. For the game, he was 1 for 2, while adding 2 RBI.
